Ministry Spotlight - Bev McCann & Friends

Bev McCann Started back in 1995, when I recorded my first CD, Gods Love. Traveled mostly the CA, NV, AZ area till we made a move to Tennessee, Nashville area. I have been working in the Music industry for several years now, and God has blessed the Ministry more than I can express. About 4 years ago I felt a change coming my direction and felt God dealing with my heart about some things, had no idea that it would create the BM&F Group. BM&F is a collective of 5 groups that we travel together and minister as one big group. We have been traveling now for 3yrs starting our 4th this year 2017. We have soloist, duo's and trio's and a few songs that we all sing together, we also have two ordained ministers in the group. When we are singing its like one big family.

I began singing in Church as a young person, then I was the youth leader and was part of the Worship team of my home church.
I sand in church and on the worship team of my home church since I was a young person. I always loved to sing, and would dream of singing and traveling, but I never knew how it would come to pass. I was just a country girl in Merced Calif. But God had put a desire in my heart that never left.
I have always loved Janet Paschal, Vestal Goodman, but my Mom & Dad and aunt Helen were probably my biggest influences. I use to say, If I could only sing like that..... :) Well I do not think I reached that level, however I feel God gave me a sound and an anointing to sing for him. As I got a little older, I found Katy Trocolli, and her ministry was awesome. I thing Carman had a big influence in my life as well. When MidSouth Boys and a few other came out I loved the country sound yet was all about God... I loved it... I grew up with a full band at our church and pretty talented guys and girls.. we were truly blessed and so good music good singing has always been a part of my life.
watching their lives knowing that no one is perfect just used and blessed of God, Called and anointed. When I would hear them speak and sing, I felt the spirit move. My dad, when he played his guitar and sang it was just peaceful and you felt the holy spirit just hover over you and you knew he was singing from his heart... I always wanted to have that anointing when I sang.
My mom, Edna Powell and my junior church leader Barbara Posey, these two woman had a huge part of who I am today. I also had some really great pastors in my life. God has truly blessed me. Bro and Sis McAdoo were my first I loved them so much and then Bor and Sis. Lancaster, and still today they support me and are like my second family, then in my Teenage years came Bro and Sis Hubbard, I just don't know what or how I could have made it through some things I faced with them in my life, so I am so very thankful for the spiritual influences that God so mercifully and graciously put in my life. I would not be here today if not for their help in my life.
Well, we do anywhere from 50-100 dates a year... we could do more I'm sure however we all have families and they are very important to us and to God..
We sing at just about any Event, indoor or outdoor. We sing in churches, fairs, festivals and wherever God opens the door, that is where we sing.
I serve on a few boards, however they are in the music world as well, I mainly serve and work in the Music industry 100 percent.
this is a great question. I felt that this year would be bringing some changes, and we are seeing a few changes, however its just expanding our ministry. God is doing a great thing and in the next 5 years I see great thing coming for Bev McCann and Friends ministry.
I am just finishing up a new CD project Called " Going to the River" ( I think LOL) we also did a tribute to our Father Ray Powell, and took several of his songs that he sang over the years and my brother came out and laid some vocal track down and my sister came in and laid one or two down, and I as well, so its a family affair, I do hope and pray that everyone will love it, for its a very special project. My new one is, I feel a great combination of some I wrote and others I found and that have ministered to me over the years. I feel that both of these projects are going to be uplifting as well as inspiring.
in the group there is , Rachel Taylor, Lori Jonathan Trio, also know as LJT, then there is Don McCloud and his wife Joy joins us every now and again when possible, then we have Sara Collins and last but not least we have The Positive Cowboy Jim Sheldon. We have a few others that join us every onw and again, however this is the Core Group. Oh is guess I should add Bev McCann LOL
My husband and I have been married for 25+ years now and we have 3 children,
all married and on their own, very proud of all of them. We have 12 grand children and ages are from 1-16yrs old. My husband David McCann, is my best friend and my computer expert and my number on supporter, I could not do what I do without him by my side or should I say he's got my back.
